First Year Jitters

I cannot believe the time of freshly sharpened pencils and sharp first day looks are upon us! Yes, I am talking about the first day of school. Now I am no longer a student but an educator diving into my teaching career head first. Finding out you have a job out of college, you need to have a little celebration knowing that your degree is actually going to be used for the right purpose! After that initial excitement.......the nerves started to sink in.

My job title of which I was hired for is Special Education Teacher! But working in a small school has its perks of allowing you to wear many different hats. On top of my main title I will also be the Title 1 head teacher, kindergarten- fourth grade art teacher, and 5th grade ability math teacher. I am very nervous for the math portion, yet overly excited at the same time! 

For the remainder of July and all of August I will be writing vigorously in my pretty pink notebook how I would like my lessons to go.Yet knowing how children are nothing goes as planned exactly! =)
